Namesake
Effie Brunet and her husband Alfred had a passion for Australian botanicals and cool climate plants which began by growing cut flowers to sell at Sydney's flower markets. When her husband died in 1970, Effie signed over their extensive property to the Crown for a dollar, which now forms the breathtaking Blue Mountains Botanic Garden at Mount Tomah.
