- A FEW WORDS FROM OUR AUTHOR -
So, for most of this year, in every spare moment, I've been obsessed with getting my guidebook produced, I had the idea during the second NSW lockdown last year, when updating the room information book. OUT OF THE BLUE is now a reality and I'm super proud of it!
The focus is on Insider gems & experiences beyond the famous walks. I have included tours and guides to our awesome backyard, but this is really about all the other things on offer before/after/instead of the walks ... or when they're closed :(
Different to many others, no one has paid to be included, or for the production of this book. For better or for worse, I've researched, designed, done the artwork, paid for the print run, delivered 800 books so far, and trying to get all the marketing ideas I've got into reality!
I wanted to include smaller and lesser known businesses, and to show the great range of offerings across the region, not just Katoomba. The final book includes over 250 local businesses, from Lapstone to Mt Irvine.
