- A FEW WORDS FROM THE MAKER - 

Ninapatina are wholesale only manufacturers of Corten (or rusted steel) firepits, metal art, sculpture, and indoor and outdoor living products supplying several boutique retailers in Tasmania and Victoria. The factory is in Port Huon and has opened a factory outlet and concept store for their products as well as lots of other home and garden décor products by many other producers from both local and afar including basket ware, ceramics, soft furnishings, clothing, jewelry, art, sculpture, plants and more.

Pre Covid, business partners Nina Koops and Adam Mullard were building food vans and doing general engineering work with a small number of staff in their Port Huon factory. Like a lot of businesses, a change in circumstance due to the pandemic meant a pivot and repurpose of labour and machinery. Nina and Adam's side project Ninapatina which began in 2016, took off as there became more of a need for Australian made produced homewares. “With more people staying at home, less money spent on travel, and worldwide export issues, we felt homeware retailers and consumers would be looking for Australian made alternatives.” Says business Co-owner Nina Koops “We took a chance and made the change from manufacturing food vans to manufacturing homewares and have been really pleased with the response so far.”
